Position Type: Salary + Bonus. 

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 base salary + performance bonus + benefits

Job Purpose

We are seeking a General Manager who is deeply connected to the New York market, someone with strong experience in VIP services, nightlife operations, pop-up events, and overall business development.
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at a high-energy nightlife and entertainment venue, delivering exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and strong financial results. The GM sets the tone for hospitality, drives strategic growth, and fosters a vibrant environment that reflects the brand’s identity and connects with the local community.

 

Specific Opjective: 

The General Manager is the operational and strategic leader of the venue. This role is responsible for driving top-line revenue through sales, partnerships, and local business development while also overseeing the day-to-day operations across all three concepts. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the New York market, strong sales instincts, and the creative edge to execute local marketing and drive walk-in traffic.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement local sales strategies to drive group events, corporate bookings, and partnerships.

  • Cultivate relationships with local influencers, media, and business leaders to generate buzz and exposure.

  • Execute grassroots and field marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility and walk-in traffic.

  • Analyze performance data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.

  • Oversee daily operations of Puttery, Bomba, and Rory’s Rooftop to ensure excellence in service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

  • Lead a diverse management team and staff across bar, kitchen, events, and service functions.

  • Drive team performance through coaching, training, and accountability.

  • Monitor inventory, labor, and operational costs to achieve financial targets.

  • Ensure each department has the tools, staff, and support needed for success.

  • Promote a collaborative and fun culture that reflects the energy of the venue.

  • Handle recruitment, onboarding, and development of team leaders and staff.

Additional Information

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality or entertainment venue management.

  • Proven track record in sales, business development, or marketing in NYC.

  • Strong operational and financial acumen; P&L experience required.

  • Experience managing multi-concept or multi-unit venues preferred.

  • Charismatic leadership with the ability to inspire, delegate, and drive results.

  • Creative mindset with a hands-on approach to marketing and brand building.

  • Exceptional conflict resolution and guest service skills.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work late nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Significant relevant management experience in nightlife or hospitality may substitute for formal education.

 

Working Conditions

  • Evening and late-night hours are required, with extended shifts during peak nights and events.

  • Physical requirements include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and navigating fast-paced environments.
