About Rory’s Rooftop

Rory’s Rooftop is a vibrant rooftop bar in the heart of Chelsea. It offers elevated bites, bold cocktails, and an atmosphere built for connection. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality service and memorable guest experiences in an upscale, energetic setting.

Position Summary

We seek a charismatic, knowledgeable, and service-oriented bartender to join our dynamic team. As a bartender at Rory’s Rooftop, you’ll craft signature cocktails, recommend beverages, and help create a welcoming and unforgettable experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and accuracy.
• Execute the Rory’s Rooftop cocktail menu with consistency and flair.
• Provide warm, knowledgeable, and engaging service to guests at the bar and tables.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, and glassware.
• Monitor guest behavior and ensure compliance with alcohol service laws.
• Maintain stock levels and assist with inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with barbacks and servers to ensure efficient service flow.
• Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Handle transactions accurately using the POS system.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2–5 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, upscale environment.
• Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, and wine.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be at least 21 and eligible to serve alcohol in New York.
• TIPS or equivalent alcohol safety certification.

Note: Potential to earn up to $85/hr on busy nights. Tips will vary based on traffic, shift type, personal service quality, and weather.
