Job Purpose
The Server Senior plays a dual role—delivering outstanding guest service while actively supporting daily floor operations and team success. This tipped position includes standard serving responsibilities as well as leadership support, including assisting with guest flow, team coordination, and maintaining high service standards throughout the shift.
Senior Servers are expected to lead by example with strong communication, hospitality, and professionalism. They help bridge the gap between front-line staff and management by supporting newer team members, sharing key shift information, and contributing to an efficient, energized dining environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional service to guests with a warm, engaging, and knowledgeable approach
Act as a floor lead during service—supporting the flow of seating, pacing, and team coordination
Proactively assist teammates to ensure consistent service quality and efficiency
Communicate shift goals, updates, and service expectations with the team
Support and mentor new servers, answering questions and modeling service standards
Have expert knowledge of the food, beverage, and gaming offerings
Anticipate guest needs and resolve service issues promptly
Ensure POS and payment accuracy and maintain control of all checks in section
Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready section and service station
Participate in pre-shift meetings, training sessions, and feedback loops with management
Qualifications and Skills
Must be 21 years of age or older
Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant
Strong knowledge of hospitality standards, food & beverage service, and guest engagement
Positive, solution-oriented communication style
Proven ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Comfortable taking initiative and supporting team performance without being prompted
Education
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods and move throughout the venue
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Must be comfortable working in a physically active, high-energy environment
Regular use of hands, arms, and legs; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs.
