Job Purpose

The Director of Revenue & Marketing at Rory’s Rooftop is responsible for driving top-line revenue, building brand visibility, and ensuring financial performance through strategic marketing and sales initiatives. This leader will oversee revenue strategy, guest acquisition, retention programs, and event sales while working closely with operations to deliver a seamless guest experience. The role requires a balance of creativity and commercial acumen, making Rory’s not just a destination but the rooftop experience in New York City.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Revenue Leadership 
      • Develop and execute revenue strategies to achieve and exceed annual targets ($4–5M).
      • Optimize menu pricing, beverage programming, and upselling initiatives to maximize per-guest spend.
      • Partner with culinary and bar leadership to align promotions and service execution with revenue goals.
      • Forecast and track revenue performance, delivering regular reporting to senior leadership.  
  • Marketing & Brand Growth
      • Build and execute marketing campaigns that position Rory’s as a premier NYC rooftop destination.

      • Oversee digital presence: website, social media, SEO, and influencer partnerships.

      • Develop PR strategies, community engagement, and seasonal promotions that keep Rory’s top-of-mind in a competitive market.

      • Leverage cross-venue opportunities with Puttery and Bomba Nightclub to maximize building-wide revenue.

  • Partner with the culinary/bar leadership to align promotions, events, and service execution with revenue goals.
  • Ensure guest experience reinforces brand identity and drives repeat visitation.

  • Analyze guest feedback, online reviews, and market trends to refine offerings.

  • Foster a revenue-driven culture across front-of-house staff through upsell training and guest engagement.

  • Build strong vendor and partner relationships for cross-promotions and sponsorship opportunities.

 

 

Additional Information

Qualifications and Skills

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in hospitality, F&B, or entertainment marketing/revenue management. 
  • Proven success in driving revenue for high-volume NYC venues, rooftops, or premium dining experiences. 
  • Strong background in digital marketing and brand partnerships. 
  • Analytical mindset with ability to forecast, budget, and track KPIs. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative approach. 

 

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $135,000–$155,000 (commensurate with experience).

  • Incentive Bonus: Up to _% of base salary, tied to revenue, performance, and marketing performance metrics.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, exempt position based on-site at Rory’s Rooftop in Manhattan. 
  • Standard schedule of 50–55 hours per week with flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.
  • Role requires presence both in-office (marketing, reporting) and on the floor during service and events. 
  • Rooftop setting includes exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Limited local travel for marketing activations and corporate meetings; occasional travel for cross-venue initiatives.
  • Daily use of CRM, POS, reservation/event, and marketing platforms; must remain responsive to urgent business needs.
