Job Details

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of accounting for American Golf Corporation. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies, and providing leadership to a team of accountants. This position is ideal for a motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a passion for driving financial excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies in all accounting practices.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and schedules for senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Provide analysis of financial performance, including variances, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and ensure proper staffing levels for the accounting department.
  • Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial records are accurate.
  • Work closely with auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation to support audit activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes, reporting tools, and systems to increase efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement.

 

Additional Information

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and general ledger management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with [specific software] a plus) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of accounting and reporting.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 (commensurate with experience). Plus Bonus.

  • Perks: Paid time off;18 holidays, plus 5 remote days at year-end.

 

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, exempt position based on-site.
  • Standard schedule of 50–55 hours per week with additional hours required during month-end/quarter-end close, audits, or special projects.
  • Primarily office-based role requiring extended periods of computer use, data analysis, and reporting.

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and remain responsive to urgent financial and reporting deadlines.
